Microwave chocolate cake

Ever wanted a quick fix for sweet tooth in the middle of a sleepy weekend? Or a quick snack for hungry children coming back from school? Or wanting to bake a cake but don't have an oven?
Here comes the solution - a super-easy, super-tasty microwave chocolate mug cake .

Ingredients:
4 tablespoons maida
2 tablespoons cocoa powder
4 tablespoons sugar
1/8 tablespoon baking powder
3 tablespoons vegetable oil
3 tablespoons milk
1 small egg

Method:
Mix all the dry ingredients in a large mug. Add the wet ingredients and give a thorough and quick mix. (If you like you can do the mixing in a bowl and transfer the batter to the mug). Put the mug in your microwave oven and microwave for 5 minutes (the time would depend on the power of your microwave). When it is cooked, fluffy and raised, it is ready.

If you want a yellow cake avoid cocoa powder but increase the quantity of maida to 6 tablespoons.

If you wish, you can top it with powdered sugar, cream or jam.

Now sit back and enjoy your cake.
